Karen Fielding

Karen FieldingKaren Fielding’s passion for nutrition began in early adulthood when she healed herself from an eating disorder. Through eating sensibly she developed a passion for healthy nutritious food and experienced the healing powers of eating well. She began to realise just how the mind, body and spirit are all connected.

She spent a few years travelling the world spending many months in both Spain and Italy, where her son was born. It was here that she was inspired by the plentiful fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables so abundantly available in these countries. She has also spent a lot of time Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and India. Thailand is where she discovered   the amazing power of yoga in which she still has a daily practice. In Thailand she discovered detoxing by staying a week at a spa and discovered just how amazing she felt in mind and spirit when her body was cleaner. This was the beginning of a journey that would underline her approach to life, healing and self-nurturing and lead her to study and practice nutritional therapy.

In 2006, she began studying with the Nutritional Healing Foundation. She has since received a practitioner diploma and an advanced diploma in Nutritional Healing.

Karen currently runs a nutrition practice in Brighton. She offers one-to-one consultations both face-to-face and via telephone/Skype working with adults and children with a wide range of conditions. She holds workshops in a variety of subjects. Her particular interests are women’s and baby’s health specialising in de-toxing, weight loss, fertility, pregnancy and baby weaning. She is passionate about good honest food in its most natural form and its ability to heal and nurture us on every level.
